Pricing

What does it cost?

Usage fees are a function of the hardware and software that make up your system, as well as your level of usage. They are not based on the number of users or seats. These fees, which of course are subject to change without notice, are based on the following:

  • The number and types of websites contracted for,
  • The server requirements, i.e. whether the server is shared, client dedicated, or project dedicated, and
  • The level of security desired.
  • The subscription plan, i.e whether monthly, annual, or per-project.
  • Your level of usage, i.e. the number of projects installed on the system.

There are three rate structures available:

Monthly Subscription Basis

The monthly subscription rates provide unlimited websites and projects for a cost starting from $2,000.  The actual amount depends on the number of individual websites, i.e. the multiple-project site and/or one or more dedicated-project sites, that are active during the billing period.

The monthly charge for the multiple-project website is $2,000. Additional project sites are $2,500 per month. There will also be a one-time setup fee of $1,500. There are no limits to the number of project sites that may be setup.

Inactive sites and projects will be charged storage at the rate of $1.00/mo per inactive project on the multi-project site and $10/mo for each inactive dedicated project site.

Annual Subscription Basis

The annual rate structure is similar to the monthly subscription basis, but discounted by about 15%. Inactive sites and projects will be charged storage at the rate of $1.00/mo per inactive project on the multi-project site and $10/mo for each inactive dedicated project site.

Project by Project Basis – Multi Project Site

In an attempt to make the system more affordable for smaller companies and for those who foresee limited usage we have established a rate structure based on a per project usage. Rates are $100 per month per project for the multi-project site.  Invoices will itemize charges by project so that the cost of services can be passed on to clients if desired. There is also a one-time setup fee of $1,500 for this plan; however, for a limited time this fee will be applied to system usage charges. There are no limits to the number of projects that may be setup.

Inactive sites and projects will be charged storage at the rate of $1.00/mo per inactive project on the multi-project site and $10/mo for each inactive dedicated project site.

All charges include an initial programming effort that might be necessary to customize the multi-project site for your application, as well as telephone and email support for the use of the system. Charges also include unlimited employee, client, and third-party users, and unlimited data storage. Minor additional site customization, as long as it is in keeping with our objectives for the site, is also included. Major customization will be extra.

There are a few other charges not mentioned above. Monthly charges do not include on-site consultations with yourselves or your clients, personnel training, nor project data input fees. Project data input involves interaction with the project staff to define and publish project specific documentation, information, and data to the site at setup and as needed throughout the course of any particular project. This activity is highly recommended. Charges for in-office or on-site consultations, personnel training, and project data input are $1,000 per day plus $250 per diem (for domestic travel) and air fare at cost. The time required for these activities is unknown and is subject to your requirements; however, we normally estimate less than a week for the initial project site. There may be additional charges for servers and security depending on your or your client’s requirements, e.g.:

  • Hosting the site on a client’s or project’s dedicated server – from $600/mo.
  • Dedicated Cisco PIX 501 firewall – from $400/mo
  • Third-party security audit by TrustWave – $400
  • VeriSign SSL Certificates – from $100/mo

None of the above items affect the operational effectiveness of the site. Although we are confident the above system will prove exceptional for handling your documentation and information management needs, if there is some other server configuration or level of security or backup that you or your clients require, just let us know. Rackspace can handle it.

Is it worth it?
